James Tanner: OutDoor Games and Musical Acts: What Is Wrong with the NHL? Terrible doesn't do justice to how bad of a decision this is.

Only 5 Grammy award nominations for Kid Rock.

Motley Crue has 3

Shawn Mullins has 1

Ariana Grande has 3

You could probably just pay a bunch of hobo's to put on stupid costumes and wail on instruments/scream nonsensically and nobody would know the difference

That would be a vast improvement to Kid Rock and the other shmoes that they have booked in the past.

Just doesn't fit someone's liberal views like Loose Bedspring... Who I as a Jersey born and raised person actually have seen live and will never do so again. (I know that's sacriledge).

Or, they both suck.

It's not a political thing with Kid Rock. He just (frank)ing blows and hasn't had a hit in almost a decade.

They booked the Roots for the Winter Classic in Philly and got widely ripped for just getting them because they were Jimmy Fallon's house band and that they were trying to be hip... no matter who they picked it wouldn't be supported so I look at it as whatever since I'll be taking a piss while they are playing anyway.

Seems like we're getting desperate for things to complain about.

Wrong, he's went country and had top hits on that chart. Not that I'm supporting Kid Rock this summer by going to his show. But I'd say he's still relevant.

Bruce Springsteen plays the Super Bowl. At this point it's not even clear if the NHL could get Loose Springsteen, a cover band that does Bruce's songs with accordions.

I had to search to see if this is legit or not. It's not but, a brilliant idea.

It's a fact the nhl is sub par when it comes to booking for entertainment ....

The NHL will keep up with the stadium/outdoor games as long as they continue to print money for the everyone. The new team Jersey for these events is just a cash cow no matter how they look. Some have been better then others.

And while I never argue music, I am very skeptical anyone shelling out hundreds of dollars to sit in the cold and have a bad view of their favorite sport is buying that ticket with much care about who's going to be singing for 10 minutes.

Okay, sorry, he's had one song on the Billboard 200 in the last decade.

I went to Kid Rock when he was in Calgary....not a big KR fan but honestly it was one of the best shows I have ever been too. He's super talented and as other have mentioned, literally just sold out 6 straight shows in the fall.
